Afonso is an amazing photographer AND an amazing person. He cares so deeply about his craft, which comes across throughout the entire process of having him do portrait photography, from the planning through the shoot and into the selection and post-production phases - each step he brings an incredible level of creativity, empathy, and professionalism.
Most importantly, I couldn't be more ecstatic with the end result of the portraits I received - they are amazing and capture my essence in a way that very few photographers are able to do!
I can't recommend Afonso highly enough - if you're on the fence about whether you should get your portraits done by him -- get off the fence and DO IT!

I recently switched careers from the performing arts to tech and I needed some new headshots for LinkedIn, etc. I made an appointment online with Afonso (so easy!) and he contacted me right away to get a sense of what I wanted. I sent him some ideas and he was so supportive. When I got to his studio, I met his cute puppies and we had a blast! Afonso gave me some great tips on how to pose so I wouldn't feel too awkward. The time went by so quickly and there were so many terrific shots. It was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to just a few. I can't recommend Afonso enough! He's professional, has tons of experience, and is so laidback about the process. Make an appointment!!!!

I had theeee best experience working with Afonso. I had not updated my headshots in 8 years and was so nervous to do it, that I had been putting it off until a friend recommended him too. It took one look at his website to see what a creative eye and talent he possesses. He made me feel so comfortable and asked me what angles I was most comfortable with and what I liked about my face so we could focus on that. My photos came out sooo much better than I ever expected and will definitely come back to capture different looks. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

Working with Afonso on our photoshoot, most recently my third with him has been an incredible experience. He takes the time to get to know his clients and creates a comfortable environment for us to be able to showcase the best of us. His work is one of art.
