To Whom it May Concern:
My name is Kay Pickett and I was lucky enough to join the Fortier Class of 1963 at the Elms Mansion. Almost as soon as I arrived, Alex Labry was pointed out to me and everyone was touched and delighted that he was there in person taking our pictures! "His reputation is outstanding, and he is here for us!" was heard often. As Mr. Labry moved around the rooms, he was always accompanied by a crowd ready to have their pictures taken. What was best is that HE seemed to be enjoying his work. Today I was able to see some of those pictures and see how he captured the spirit of the longtime love for one another that was apparent and wonderfully captured on film. Looking at the lengthy list of those students (friends) we have already lost, our numbers will grow smaller, but this reunion stands forever, captured in photography by a generous top professional, and we are very grateful!

Recently I needed some pictures taken by Alex 10 years ago at the Texas Family Land Heritage Awards ceremony and, sure enough, he still had them. I have contacted him twice since he took the pictures in 2008 and each time I speak to Alex he is very pleasant and goes out of his way to get whatever I need.
