I met Johnny on the day of my sister's wedding back in 2017, and that was the day I knew I wanted to hire him for my wedding (whenever that would be).

5 long years later, I got engaged! Johnny was the first vendor I contacted, even before my church and reception venue, to make sure he was available on what I assumed would be a very popular wedding date. It was THAT important to me to have Johnny shoot my wedding day, and I believe that is a huge testament to how amazing he truly is.

We did a total of three shoots - one local engagement photoshoot, one multi-day destination photoshoot, and our wedding day. Johnny knocked every one out of the park. His artistic eye and attention to detail speaks for itself in every picture. I can't tell you how many compliments we've received on our photos. They are all breathtaking and frame-worthy!

A handful of people have told us that we look so natural behind a camera, but it really is Johnny's work that makes it look that way. He truly has a talent for making people feel comfortable behind a camera. Johnny also has a great eye and is able to come up with poses so quickly, whether it's a photo of a bride and groom or a photo of a wedding party of 17. He individually poses everyone, which is something that makes Johnny stand out in comparison to other photographers. It makes all the difference in the world in the output of photos because people usually don't know what to do with their hands and feet. Johnny is also great at time management. He was a crucial part to keeping us on track throughout the whole day, an extra role he took outside of being our photographer.

On the day of our wedding, we had Johnny and Victoria as our photographers and Hai and Ross as our videographers. The Black Frame Photos team's quality of work speaks for itself, but they also were friendly and invested time to get to know us and the wedding party. This is something that carries more weight than I initially thought when reflecting on my experience with a photographer or videographer. My advice is to choose one that goes beyond technical skill. Hiring a team you and your wedding party feel comfortable around will make your photos and videos that much better. 100/10 would recommend them!

don't even waste time in reading the rest of this review and book them for your needs, whatever it is, i don't care. these guys are absolutely incredible, their editing breathtaking, their directions and posing comfortable and friendly. we had great anxiety wondering if our photos would come out stiff or uncomfortable, and the entire team (we shot with multiple people, specifically johnny/peter/fabian/ben/stix) were incredible about acting like long time friends while still staying professional and getting the shot. i could go on and on. johnny was SO quick in communication and very, very easy to work with. his team made our most hectic and busy day one to look back on with happy memories and smiles on our faces. they're worth everything they ask for, i promise. they've done our wedding, tea ceremony, and countless other friends' special occasions. when you're spending buttloads of money on special events, don't skimp on your photographers. 10/5 stars if it was possible. thanks you guys, so so so much.

I can write a whole essay on why Johnny and his team is the best choice you can make if you want to have any pictures or videos taken. We had them has our photographers and videographer at our wedding, and they did a PHENOMANAL job.

1. The attention to detail that goes into every photo/video shot is well thought out, posed or candid, they will capture every moment filled that is filled with love and happiness.

2. Their editing goes hard too. Both me and my partner do not like being in front of the camera, but all the photos were so well edit that I wouldn't mind anyone seeing my entire wedding collection without being self-conscious. Also, the final video we received was so well-done, it made me cry a second time.

3. We got a same-day edit video for our wedding to show our guest at the end of our wedding before they departed. I was super impressed that his team was able to shot and edit an entire video in the same day! All our guests loved the video and were amazed by it. It was a great parting gift to everyone to show everyone how the day happened from different perspectives.

4. Johnny and his team will make you feel super comfortable. We never once felt uneasy and they were always there whenever we needed them. One thing I appreciated the most is how his team treated us like family too. During the wedding, they were there to support us, helped me style my suit and hair, and helped around the wedding even if it wasn't photography related. Truly going above and beyond.

5. I lost the original USB drive they sent us after the wedding, but they were more than kind enough to send me another super quickly.

If you're deciding who you want to take your pictures/videos, I cannot recommend Black Frame Photos enough. They were able to capture beautifully the most important day of my life and I will never forget it!
