PART 1:
I've tried for weeks now to think about the right words to say, or how to convey our gratitude and love for this photographer, business, and human... Simply put, there isn't enough we can say, nor enough time.

Short story: CHOOSE LOVE & LEGACY STUDIOS!!!

Long story:
During our engagement process, I told my then-fiancee that I wanted our photographer to be special. I didn't just want "generic" wedding photographs, and I really wanted our photographer to connect with us to truly be able to capture our special moments. Not long into the wedding planning process, we met Cody at a Bridal Expo. I knew from the very first picture I saw, his work was amazing. It was the first time I'd seen a bridal portrait that gave me the feels. After talking with him, I was sold that we HAD to have him! Without prompt, he said exactly what I had been waiting to hear, that his process is about getting to know the couple individually, as well as together.

After choosing Cody as our official wedding photographer, he took the time to have in-depth conversations one-on-one with both me and fiancee, to better understand our personalities and relationship. He even includes a complimentary engagement shoot, just so that he can have time to work with the couple and build those relationships prior to the wedding day! Throughout the entire year long process leading up to the wedding, he was in constant communication and always checking in on us! A couple of months leading up to the wedding, Cody spent right at 3 hours on a call with me going over the timeline and making sure he had everything we wanted outlined.

On our wedding day, Cody was there from the start (meeting at bridal suite) to the very end of the day (he left the venue right before we did). Even my now-FIL commented several times at how hard Cody worked that day and how he was already impressed with him without having seen any portraits yet, at that point. I knew that I would love our wedding photos either way, I already knew Cody’s work was amazing... However, after receiving our wedding photos, what I most surprised by and most in love with was the amount of moments and reactions he was able to catch. Cody did not just deliver amazing wedding photos, but he delivered raw, true emotion. From the sweetest moments I was a part of (like my bridesmaids dress reveal, getting ready with our parents, first looks, etc.) to the moments I didn’t get to see (like my now-husband’s & bridal party’s reactions to me walking down the aisle, my mom’s reaction to our first dance, his dad crying while watching the mother-son dance, etc.), it was all captured in beautiful photos that I get to reminisce on for the rest of my life. However, I also have to note that the very first photo I saw of Cody’s, the bridal portrait with the bridesmaids fluffing the dress that gave me all the feels I mentioned above, became my inspiration photo I wanted to recreate. I also fell in love with “editorial” style photos for the bridal party. Cody more than delivered on these special requests!!! Overall, my husband and I, as well as our friends and families, are obsessed with ALL of our photos we got back!

PART 2:
*Quick back story: My wedding day was absolutely perfect up until the very end, but no fault of Cody’s. I was actually so at peace knowing Cody was our photographer, as I knew I didn’t have to worry about making sure he got everything we wanted and had previously discussed in-depth. My bridal party was phenomenal. The whole wedding party and all of our family showed up on time. We were on schedule for the most part, with all things considered. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and full of sentiment. Unfortunately, our DJ, who was also my uncle, ruined our reception not long after it started (long story). Nevertheless, this incident caused the DJ to end up leaving early, which confused a lot of guests so they ended up leaving also. We found a speaker and drowned out the DJ while he packed up, and the guests that were left partied the rest of the night away. However, before receiving our photos back, I truly felt like my “family” / “DJ” had ruined our wedding… I had been so resentful and sad that I didn’t get to spend the amount of time with our guests like I wanted or get see them having a good time… But, after getting our photos back a little less than a month ago, there hasn’t been a day where I haven’t looked at them. Cody helped remind me that, up until the end of the night, my day was perfect. I look back on these photos and it erases any bad or negativity from that day from my brain. All I can see is pure, raw emotion filled with happiness and love, which is how it should be. But, once I posted our amazing guests photos on Facebook, someone commented immediately that they had such a great time that night and how much fun they had. I’m so thankful Cody was able to capture all of this for me to see, even if in retrospect. It’s amazing how photography can influence our emotions.*

*Another quick add: As a female, I’ve struggled with significant fluctuating weight the past few years. I was really stressed during our wedding planning process because I seemingly kept gaining weight instead of losing… I was upset that I was going to be the biggest I’d ever been on my wedding day, and how my photos wouldn’t look like I wanted them to… Cody captured photos that I’m proud to show, that made me feel beautiful, and that I’ll gladly have on my walls for the rest of my life - which is saying a lot for someone with such low confidence like me. He surpassed any expectations I thought I had, and I truly just cannot say enough.*

Cody has been in our lives for over a year now, and I’m not sure how to not have our supportive Cody always checking in on us anymore! He will always be a part of our story, as he was so much more than just our photographer. We will never search for another photographer, as Cody will be photographing our life here on out, or as long as he’ll have us lol.

Overall, if you want professional photos, but specifically a professional photographer that takes time to get to know you and your significant other or family to best photograph them, choose Love & Legacy Studios! Cody’s down to earth personality and portfolio will capture your heart and I promise you will not be disappointed!!!
