My husband and I used Matthew as our photographer for our wedding in October 2022 and he was WONDERFUL! We really wanted someone who would be able to capture our entire day while keeping us calm and relaxed and Matthew was exactly that. He was very well organized, kept constant communication leading up to the day and made sure he captured everything we asked for and then some. It was a pleasure working with Matthew Blassey for our downtown Pittsburgh wedding. Matt went over all the details with us thoroughly before the big day and even came to the rescue with first aid when the bride sustained a minor injury in pre-wedding photos! He did a great mix of photos – detail shots, portraits, and candid moments. He is good with people of all ages – from children to the elderly. Before, during, and at the end of our big day Matt was able to work with the crowd to capture the pictures he needed. Upon reviewing photos after the wedding, we were impressed to see the amount of shots he took and the coverage he provided – there were a lot of great guest moments we never saw. We would highly recommend him to others.

We had such a great experience using Matt Blassey as our wedding photographer. On a day that was very hectic, Matt was a calm presence throughout. He knew the right moments to ask for our time and knew the exact spots to grab us for pictures that would make beautiful, lasting photos. He was flexible when people would grab him to take some pictures, yet also knew when to get people together and put them in position for a funny or heart warming picture that he knew would be appreciated when the party was long over. Matt was excellent with his communication leading up to the event and would share ideas about what he thought we might like. His price was beyond reasonable and the product he delivered after all the celebrating was over and all the people were gone was beyond words. When we sat down and looked at the picture he took, we were both blown away by how many great pictures we had of one of the best nights of our lives. We did not even notice him taking pictures that night, yet the pictures he was able to get will make us laugh and fill us with happiness for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend Matt enough, he is not only a true professional, but he is an Artist of the highest degree. If there is one thing you can do to make your life easier, call Matthew Blassey Photography the next time you are looking for a photographer. I can promise you that you will not be sorry. Working with Matthew was fantastic! He was great with communication, and quick to respond to my neurotic emails. He checked in a week before the wedding to make sure he got all of the poses we wanted and to get a timeline. He made us feel very comfortable on the day of too. My sister had outwardly said that in comparison to a few other photographers, that she felt very comfortable around Matthew. He was also willing to stay past the time we had paid for to ensure he got the photos we wanted at the reception. Our photos came out amazing! The ones I'm including are lower quality, but that's because the flash drive he includes of every photo taken that day is not here yet. But I couldn't wait to share them. Thank you again, Matthew!

My husband and I got married at Ohiopyle State Park. Matthew was more than accommodating to travel for our big day. Shane and I both have larger families, and Matthew worked through the chaos of preparing for the ceremony and every step of the way, flawlessly. He made us feel very comfortable, and was professional. Our pictures turned out absolutely stunning! We were taking pictures in a challenging area, by the body slides, and Matthew helped us navigate through the process very effectively and efficiently. We had an absolute blast and would recommend Matthew Blassey for any and all events in the future!!!!
