Maya is one of the most wonderful, genuine, and detailed photographers I've ever met, and I've worked with a lot of photographers in my line of work! My partner and I chose Maya first for our engagement photos because of their dynamic, warm style, and ended up enjoying working with them so much that we decided to book them for our wedding! My partner is quite shy and doesn't enjoy his photo being taken, but Maya made him feel so comfortable and confident. We are an LGBTQ+ couple, and Maya made us feel so valid and loved expressing who we are. Maya was so communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process, and constantly provided us with resources to help us with our general planning. Maya and their co-photographer took so much care and detail on the day of the wedding to get every small detail to every huge moment. Everything worked like literal clockwork, everything felt super chill and fun, and even shooting large family photos (with way too many cousins) ended up being a breeze! Maya truly cares about their work, especially their clients. We could not recommend Maya enough!!!

Maya did our engagement shoot as well, & they were absolutely amazing to work with, both for the engagement pics & also the wedding day! They brought a second shooter (Ann) for the wedding day, & both of them were so great. My wife & I have both always been a bit awkward about getting our pictures taken, but Maya put us both at ease almost immediately, & we both had a great time! We’re not expecting the whole album of wedding pics for a while yet, but the sneak peek pictures they sent us are exactly what we were hoping for - they really captured the vibe of the day. As a lesbian couple, it was important to us that all of our wedding vendors were either allies or members of the LGBT community as well; Maya was one of the first vendors we booked, & they set such a high standard for inclusivity, thoughtfulness, & quality, they ended up being the standard we compared other vendors to while we were shopping around for any other wedding vendors. They’re not cheap, but they’re worth every penny (& more!), & I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Maya is truly a gem and we are so happy that they were our wedding photographer! They are kind, thoughtful, and professional through and through. It was so fun and wonderful to work with Maya, as well as Michael and Phil who were their assistant photographers that day.

When taking photos, Maya is calm and confident. The photos that we've seen so far from our wedding are just stunning. In Maya's portfolio, there are so many photos of couples that look like they're in their own world, like there isn't a camera at all. Having experienced being the subject, I definitely felt the magic. Maya understood us so well, gave us the perfect brief prompts, then quietly snapped away. I was worried I'd look awkward in photos from overthinking my poses as I normally would, but Maya is so skilled at capturing your best in the most natural way.

I was really nervous when I first started searching for photographers. I'm a queer trans man and my husband and I were going to have a fun, gay, non-traditional wedding surrounded by our lovely friends who are all across the gender spectrum. It was my number one priority to find a photographer who I'd feel completely at ease with. I've had the displeasure of just grimacing my way through uncomfortable photoshoots and enduring weird posing suggestions. I wanted to avoid that as much as possible on our wedding day! So when I found Maya's portfolio, I was so excited. I instantly knew that they GET IT. I'm so glad Maya makes it loud and clear on their website what they're about, because it made me reach out to them without hesitation. They ABSOLUTELY get it. A photographer was going to be the vendor we'd be talking to the most throughout the day, so this mattered to us so, so much. Not only so that we'd be comfortable, but our entire wedding party, too. I didn't have to explain a single thing, and that was a huge relief.

ALSO, we (the couple, and also all of our friends) love anime, and it was honestly a huge bonus that Maya and Michael also liked some of the same stuff we do, because it made the photo-taking that much more fun as we laughed and made references. Couldn't have asked for a cooler photographer team!!!

Final shoutout to Maya's emails. They send very timely, thorough, and informative emails that helped us feel super prepared.

We are SO happy that we chose Maya as our wedding photographer! I only wish we could give them more stars!

We live out of state so planning the wedding was a little challenging, but Maya made the planning process so easy! It was very reassuring to work with someone who was clearly very organized and on top of things. We met regularly with Maya over Zoom in the months leading up to the wedding and they were always available to answer questions as needed.

My husband and I really wanted to take photos together at various places around the city and Maya helped us narrow down our choices and put together a schedule. Maya and their partner Michael were so accommodating and flexible on the day of, as some of our chosen locations ended up being too crowded. We were able to quickly pivot to alternates and we are incredibly happy with how the photos turned out!

Neither my husband or I have a lot of experience in front of the camera, but Maya and Michael made the process so fun that it didn't even feel like we were being photographed. Even when we were all being swarmed by lanternflies, they were incredibly professional and made sure we weren't covered in bugs for the photos. They are truly the best hype people you could ask for the day of your wedding!

Maya is a wonderfully talented photographer and their photos truly captured all of the love and joy of that day in such a beautiful way. We received sneak peak photos from them the next day which was such a wonderful surprise! They exceeded our expectations in every way and we HIGHLY recommend Maya for all of your photography needs. I can guarantee that you will be exceedingly happy with the results!

Maya Lovro was our photographer for our wedding on 11.18.2023, and they were above and beyond what we ever dreamed! While looking for a photographer, we were drawn to Maya’s editing style that makes colors pop, and WOW! Our pictures did not disappoint! Their editing is what drew us to them, but their personality, professionalism, and expertise really helped make our wedding day so absolutely perfect & special! My husband and I had no experience with professional pictures, but Maya provided crystal clear prompts that turned into STUNNING pictures! They also sent us our sneak peek the day after our wedding, which was an amazing gift because neither of us had taken any pictures during our wedding! We can’t wait for our full gallery reveal!

Maya was also very accommodating – our wedding was on Light Up Night, and we had a view of the fireworks from our venue. Maya and Michael stayed late to capture some gorgeous photos of us with the fireworks in the background! We can’t wait to see how they turned out – with Maya’s colorful editing style, we know they’re going to be absolutely breathtaking!

In addition to being phenomenal photographers, Maya and their second shooter/partner Michael brought impeccable vibes to our wedding day – they matched our energy and kept it going all night long! They were never in the way, but still managed to capture beautiful moments with our loved ones. We would recommend Maya to anyone & everyone who needs professional photography services!!

Wow! We loved working with Maya. They were so helpful, kind, and reassuring. They went above and beyond, sending a handmade wedding guide, helping with the timeline, offering advice on stylistic choices... Absolutely incredible. AND THE PHOTOS! The photos are gorgeous and feel accurate to the personalities of my husband/me.

Maya was beyond what we hoped for in a wedding photographer. We are a mixed race couple, so having a photographer that could capture different skin tones was the most important thing for us, and Maya was amazing. We also used bold fall colors, and Maya's photography captured that beautifully. They were always quick to respond to questions and made the whole planning process very simple. Maya and their second shooter were so much fun to work with while still clearly professional and in charge; we were laughing with them all day but still ran right on schedule! They were also great and very patient with older family members. They got us preview images very quickly that were STUNNING. We will always recommend them for any professional photography needs!
