As a photographer myself, choosing the right wedding photographer was incredibly important and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of Melissa Sigler Photography for our destination wedding! Melissa did an outstanding job photographing our wedding day (and even hiked with us the following day to capture some AMAZING images at Cathedral Rock in Sedona). We are SO happy that we hired Melissa for our wedding!!! She has a lot of experience and we could tell how passionate she is about her work and how creative she is from the start. She was easy to communicate with, she responds quickly and the turnaround time was faster than expected. You also get access to a full digital album and a complimentary engagement photo session. Another bonus is that she brings a second shooter with her to your wedding day. Melissa captured impressive shots, she was really great at shooting from different angles, using different lighting and giving us direction. She also made sure we stayed on track with the schedule and listened to our requests. We have been trying to pick out our favorites for our wedding album for a month now, we have too many amazing pictures to choose from!! As fellow vendors in the industry, we'd worked several weddings with Melissa and were always impressed by her creative eye and unique style. We couldn't be happier with how she shot our own wedding! Melissa is so great at finding interesting ways to play with light, angles, shot composition, etc. to give each couple a truly unique photographic documentation of their wedding day. She kept us comfortable in front of the camera and was able to capture our personalities and special moments perfectly. She was easy to work with all the way through from booking and engagement shoot to custom wedding album creation and delivery (and was especially kind and flexible when our original plans changed due to Covid). We hired Melissa as our wedding photographer over a year ago and it was the best decision ever. She is a very kind, easy to talk to, fun to be around person. She has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and at times, it feels like she's not even there. Her photos are unique and beautiful and always capture the mood perfectly! For our engagement photos, we wanted fall colors and she worked with us adjusting dates so we would have exactly what we wanted. Melissa took on the role of wedding coordinator and was responsive and patient with questions before the wedding. She is very organized and was able to get photos of family members who don't get along with no problem. She is not afraid to look silly or stand on railings to get the perfect angle. She danced like a monkey to get photos of my three year old nephew smiling! When we saw our wedding photos for the first time, I cried because they were so beautiful. We are forever grateful that Melissa has given us so many gorgeous photos to treasure of our wedding day. She is passionate about what she does and it shows. All of her photos are amazing.

Melissa did a fabulous job photographing our October, 2019 wedding in Lawrence, KS. We met before the wedding and I was very impressed with the albums she showed me and her creative ideas. She took great photos before the service, during and after. Melissa had an assistant with her the whole night and you never even knew they were there.
After the big event we had so many wonderful pictures it was hard to pick the right ones for our album. Melissa was able to pull the best shots and beautifully put them in an album for us to cherish for a life time.

I really never review anyone, even when they ask me to but Melissa absolutely 100% needed to be publicly talked about! Anyone I know I would recommend using her. Melissa is not only sweet and out-going but her pictures, oh my gosh... There literally isn't one picture I don't LOVE from our wedding and engagement pictures. She's creative and amazing at what she does!! She exceeded my expectations and more!! If I had to do it all over again I would hire her every time. She truly captured everything that I want to be able to look back at and remember. I hardly even noticed her around us, but she was there getting creative capturing the moment!!! I will definitely use her in the future for anniversary portraits and hopefully one day our future children! Thank you Melissa! I can never thank you enough.

We knew that Melissa was the perfect person to take my daughter's senior pictures as soon as we saw her beautiful work! In fact, we were willing to drive three hours from where we live just to have her take them! Melissa's gift is not only her ability to capture beautiful moments, but she was also able to put my daughter at ease and capture her personality, as well. I also can't say enough about how wonderful and easy it was to work with Melissa throughout the process. Choosing Melissa was easy and the hardest part was choosing our pictures because we loved them all! The best recommendation we can give is that on our drive home after the photo session and obviously before seeing the pictures, my daughter said that when the time comes, she wouldn't trust anyone but Melissa to take her engagement and wedding photos and I agreed!!!
