Anne and David are an amazing husband and wife team! They really take the time to put in the extra details that when you look at the photos and watch your wedding highlights reel, you see all those little details you forgot about! We had a very small, intimate backyard wedding. Our wedding photos came out so beautiful and the video highlight reel transported us back to that day, bringing all the feels along with it.

I really loved Anne's communication, especially with our phone call a month before the wedding to work out the kinks. Absolutely ADORED her direction day-of. No wasted time and she made us look great in every photo! David was so slick with the camera work as well, half the time we didn't even know he was there!

Kim did an amazing job editing our highlight video and really captured all the details in 3 minutes. He synced it well with the music we chose too (Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish).

Something New and Blue Photography Videography is truly the best! Our family has been using them since we had our first child. Anne took our first ever family photos, my daughter’s cake smash photos when she turned one, and we have continued coming back to her for our family photos since. We just had our photos taken this past month and as always we love them so much! We were lucky enough to work with Something New and Blue for the videography of our wedding in November of 2022. They were one of the preferred vendors when booking through Wedgewood Weddings in Aliso Viejo, CA, and we were so thankful for their services. From our initial phone call with Anne, to the actual wedding day and the videos received later, Anne and her husband were so professional and so communicative. Sean and I are from Orange County but currently live in Oregon, and everything was done electronically which made for such an easy contract. We had so much fun at our wedding, and the videos they were able to put together will forever serve as fond memories of a very special day. I honestly cannot recommend them enough, and when Sean and I are back in town, we may contact Anne to see if she can take some photos of us, since we didn’t really have an official engagement shoot. It’ll be nice to work with her again, but more importantly I can’t wait to see her again! Truly an amazing couple, and I strongly suggest any bride work with them for their videography needs.

I chose Anne and Dave as the videographers for my March 2023 wedding for two main reasons: (1) they offered a video package that I wanted, that few others did, and at a reasonable price. It was really important to me to have a copy of the raw footage from my wedding, because I knew I was going to be too busy to remember the ceremony and the toasts, and all those other important moments. Anne and Dave offered a package that included this footage, and at a reasonable price. The other videographer I had found who offered this was charging an exorbitant amount.

(2) I spoke with Anne before hiring her, and I really liked her. She responded to my email inquiry very quickly. When we talked about their packages, she gave me her honest opinion--that, for what I was looking for, one of their cheaper packages would be sufficient. She could have tried to upsell me, but the fact that she didn't showed me that she has integrity.

I also just really liked her energy when I spoke with her. She seemed really earnest, cheerful, and supportive.

I'm so pleased with the work that Anne and Dave did. They arrived early to the venue and worked nonstop until after the first dance. Our photographer seemed to enjoy working with them, to the extent that I thought they were already friends (but they'd all just met that day). Anne and Dave both had good suggestions for certain shots they wanted, and even recommended some shots to the photographer.

Lastly, there was a point before the ceremony where I was extremely stressed and frustrated, and Anne came over under the guise of fixing my necklace, but I think she was also trying to help me take deep breaths. She wasn't being condescending or anything, it was just a natural extension of her calm energy. That moment helped ground me, and helped me feel like I had someone supporting me. I could cry just thinking about it, because she knew what I needed in the moment.

We received our highlight video less than 2 months after the wedding, and it's so cute! I'm excited to go through the raw footage next. This experience has been 100% positive.
