Son Ray Ranch was awesome with very accessible opening for equipment set up. The kitchen area with bathrooms were nicely placed. The venue holds a very clean and crisp country look. With perfect and ample parking this venue is set for a laid back country vibe. The location is set in the country just minutes from Newton and not that much further from Wichita Kansas. The outside covered area is beautiful with a stair step backdrop to hold that special ceremony or can also be turned to hold your ceremony at the gazebo located directly against a beautiful pond with a water fountain. I would highly recommend this venue for weddings, family reunions, senior proms, and any other needs for this venue can handle a large capacity.

I love working events at the Son Wray Ranch. It really is a wonderful large venue especially the outdoor ceremony space. I do have a few things to note however. There is no wifi not even for b&g or vendors like djs, All the outlets are at chest hight which is awkward. The floor is uneven. This is all mostly minor annoyances that are easily worked around as long as you know that they are present. I've djed 4 events here and I've never once met the owners which I'm a little sad about but it is nice not to have them breathing down your neck. All around a really enjoyable experience

Such a beautiful and functional venue! Have worked a few weddings here and love it! It is super nice to have heating and a.c. inside, but still have a gorgeous outside area as well. Plenty of room for parking and easy to find.

Enjoyed a family wedding and reception at Son Wray. Everything was great, from the setting, ample parking, kitchen and the open room.

The owners certainly have a well thought- out offering and supply the basics (like tables and chairs) so you only have to think about bringing the finishing touches.

It's a very nice, spacious event center. If you prefer to have your wedding, party, or family reunion away from the hustle and bustle of the urban rat race, there's no better place to go!
