Tyler and his amazing assistant took the most beautiful, fun, and artistic photos of our wedding. They were exactly what we wanted, and Tyler and his team were great to work with. Flowers by Craig Sole Designs, wedding location Loose Mansion. There were so many amazing candid photos of our guests and family that I can't show here, but they were amazing. Tyler perfectly captured our day.

Tyler is absolutely incredible at what he does. We didn’t want to hire a typical wedding photographer. We couldn’t see ourselves missing our cocktail hour and hanging outside in the hot August sun pretending to look longingly into each other’s eyes or peeking our heads around a tree to get a first look of each other. Posed photography was just not something we wanted at all for our big day.

When we found Tyler (a photojournalist) we knew we had hit the jackpot. His portfolio was absolutely stunning! Every single one of his pictures were beautifully lit and candid. They were expressive, raw, and unapologetic. And that’s exactly what we wanted for ourselves.

During our first zoom meeting he expressed that he doesn’t do posed photography except for a handful of shots during the “golden hour” with just the couple. That means no bridal party photos and no family photos. He basically told us that if our guests were not interesting enough then they won’t make it into a shot. I know this is not for everyone, but for us it was perfect.

Needless to say, our wedding day was a hit! We didn’t feel like Tyler was there working or in our faces trying to get a shot. It was as if he wasn’t even there at all. He delivered on everything he said he would do and we can’t thank him enough for allowing us to enjoy our day uninterrupted with our friends and family.

I will note that Tyler is at the upper end of wedding photography when it comes to cost. For us, the investment was worth every single penny because we wanted our photos to be a full on documentary of our day with friends and family.

Tyler Wirken shot my wedding 12 years ago, and the pictures are still my favorite wedding photos in the world. Having owned a limousine business for twenty years, I also worked side by side with Tyler at countless weddings. He was definitely one of my favorite photographers, always fun, imaginative, but yet also unobtrusive and always keeping it real. In fact, that's it: he's the real deal. Don't think you can leave your photography to your best friend with the latest iphone. It will never match what Tyler can do.
