I'd been looking into different boudoir experiences for years but when I found WMNKND I knew it was time. Mikaela is so wonderful and I felt welcomed right from our first emails. This experience is so personal and I felt as though I could show my own personality through my photos. Mikaela is a wonderful hype woman and amazing instructor! I never had questions on how to stand to what to do with my hands or feet. I loved every moment of the experience and I HIGHLY recommend it to every womxn out there!

Incredible. I love Kelsey (makeup artist) to death she always makes me feel at ease. I've been seeing her for two years now for facials. Felt like Mikaela and I became instant best friends and she also made feel at ease. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or awkward.

if you're thinking of doing coming in for a shoot..... THIS IS YOUR SIGN. It was a truly incredible experience! Mikaela is so wonderful and kind, she makes you feel like you've known her for years and hypes you up like no other! It is the ultimate self care, pampering experience! Plus you feel like an absolute BABE after! My pictures turned out so incredible and I was able to view them that same day (after a lovely massage!!). Do it!! Book!!

I am so happy to have met Mikaela Wendel. Mikaela was my wedding photographer and I have had two photoshoots with WMNKND in the past year. Mikaela is incredibly easy to talk to and work with. She makes you feel like a queen from the second you book with her. We did a virtual consultation a few days before the shoot to go over all the details and I was able to share a few ideas I had for the day of. The shoot day is so fun , first getting my hair and makeup done by a professional is always a confidence booster! Going through the WMNKND Closet was hard for me since I wanted to wear everything but I picked two bodysuits and a lingerie set. I am a thicker girl and I had several options that fit me perfectly. At the start of the shoot you can get a little nervous but once the music is on and you relax the time flies by! A couples days after the shoot Mikaela and I met again virtual to go over my photos and my jaw just drops open. I LOVE SO MANY PHOTOS! Once I was able to narrow down my favorites I ordered a book and a few prints. Within two weeks I had all of my products and they are great quality. Thank you WMNKND for giving me this experience, the confidence booster I needed and high quality products. Book with WMNKND. Seriously do it!

This was my first boudoir experience and I’m so glad I chose Mikaela. From the very beginning, I felt very comfortable talking with her on my consultation call. She gave me the rundown of everything that I could do to prepare and sent me weekly activities and links to prepare my mind and body for the experience (affirmations, yoga, checklist of what to do and not do the week of the photo shoot). I got there the morning of feeling confident and ready to go. Mikaela and Kelsey of Radiate Beauty had some great tunes playing, and did my hair and makeup. As someone who worked in the beauty industry, I was very impressed by the makeup application (see my review of Radiate Beauty for more). It was time to check out the client closet, where Mikaela had lots of options in my size available for me to use. I brought a couple of options of my own but chose a gorgeous purple lingerie set out of the client closet. Mikaela demonstrated every pose before I did it, which was so reassuring. It was such a fun atmosphere. Then after we were done, I got a massage from Kelsey and Mikaela edited my photos. It was so nice not to wait months to see the end result. It was really hard cutting down the photos to fit in the photo book I chose. One other big plus for me was the payment plan option WMNKND offers. Overall, great people, great experience, and amazing photos.

My boudoir experience with Mikaela and WMNKND was the best gift I could have given myself! Mikaela is dedicated to her craft and was quick to respond and answer any questions or concerns I had leading up to my appointment. Mikaela takes great care to make her clients feel uplifted and empowered. From offering hair and makeup ahead of the shoot to showing me exactly how to pose for photos and ending the session with a massage while she did quick edits, it was such a thoughtful and comprehensive experience. Mikaela is a truly talented photographer and WMNKND brings the best in boudoir to Kansas City.

I am blown away by the experience I had with WMNKND!!! The process was SO FUN (not stressful like I thought) and the team takes care of EVERYTHING for you! From your hair, makeup, outfits, and poses they have you covered! You even get pampered with a massage the day of! If you are even thinking about booking this for yourself DO IT! I booked a boudoir session before my wedding with Mikaela and her team and absolutely loved my experience!! It was so special to document that time in my life before I was married/had kids. I had no idea how much I would gained from that experience, I left feeling so confident in myself and my body.
