Not happy with this place anymore . Offered them a dining room table with chairs and two leaves in new condition and was informed that there would be a $50 pickup fee for something I'm donating!!! I live 3 miles down the road from the store.

I heard about this store three years back. Usually every weekend I’m hitting up Thrift stores, antique stores , second hand shops etc in the RI area. When I had first started to go in and shop around , occasionally I’d find a cool smaller trinket for 50¢ - $3. I used to see there ashtrays priced for $5 or under all the time. The last year and a half has been a complete joke. I don’t know if I missed when this place turned into a Antique mall with its mentality….. The same ashtrays that used to be $2-$5 are now $20-$30…… The Smaller trinkets are now starting at $5 and go up…..

One of the last time I went in , my dad was looking for some standard bolts, They had a sign in the back saying they charged on the weight, but we couldn’t find any scale to weigh them. We walked to the front and this older lady scans the box and shows us the LOWES item page. She goes on to say that the screw we had were $5 A PIECE online, my dad tried to explain that price online is for a box! She told us the best she could do is $1.50 per screw. We chuckled and walked out.

I can completely see trying to make the most money you can. Especially when theres a multi-thousand dollar overhead that needs to be covered…… The worst part is the road it’s on, literally has 4-5 other Thrift stores/antique shops down it. With all that “competition” the prices still go up here!
It seems like I’m not the only person that agrees the prices are getting absolutely ridiculous, most of the time it’s cheaper to buy it new from the store or to just order online.

This is basically a thrift store for furniture-- great prices for nice items with few or no defects. Couches for <½ to <⅛ what you'd find them for new in store. Looking through the large shelves, large desks, and corner hutches, the most common price I saw was $70. They've also got random books for $1 each (I got a whole chemistry textbook), and cookware, some jewellery, and a bunch of little knick-knacks and figurines, all for like $5 or less. And the money goes towards Habitat for Humanity, so you're indirectly helping people access housing by buying things you need (and possibly some you don't, lol) Turnover here is fast, though, so if you see something you like and go back for it a couple days afterwards, it likely won't be there anymore.

I came in with a friend who was shopping for a table. The quality of most of their pieces was pretty good and the prices weren't bad at all. if you're setting up a new place or looking to change your decor this is a good first stop.

I used to be able to find a great deal here once in a while, but lately the prices have been inordinately high. Some prices for used items actually exceed sale prices for new items elsewhere.
I suggest you start shopping for new items first, and then here as a last resort.
Also, you need to check items here carefully. Many items are broken or otherwise non-functional--yet they are still placed on the sales floor instead of the trash.
Buyer beware.

Went in with a friend yesterday who was looking for some furniture. Not only were the prices high but we also overheard the manager being very rude about a customer and insulting the fact that they were trying to get a deal. Something along the lines of "if you can't afford the price don't pick it up." It's literally a non-profit? Horrible attitude for an owner to have.
